Hands Only CPR classes will be offered at the Painted Post Fire Department on February 19, 2011.  The one hour classes will be offered at 9 AM, 10AM, & 11 AM.  It’s Free and no need to register, just stop in!

National CPR/AED Week June 1-7, 2011

Learn “Hands Only” CPR in under an hour at Bath Volunteer Ambulance 110 East Steuben St., Bath.
From 10 AM to 4 PM on June 1st the hands only CPR will be taught starting at the top of each hour.
In under an hour you can learn to save a life with chest compressions only CPR.

10,000 Links is proud to offer two different CPR training courses in Steuben County, to make it even easier to get certified in CPR. Each course offers different types of training, and different costs. Please review both to see which suits your needs the best.

American Heart Association Family
and Friends Training Classes

Steuben County Emergency Medical Services (your local ambulance & 1^st responder agencies), along with other organizations will be offering the American Heart Association Family and Friends CPR awareness training.

Using a unique inflatable manikin and a DVD driven training program under guidance of class facilitators, in one hour you can learn the most important aspect of CPR, chest compressions.  This is a fun and affordable opportunity to gain a valuable skill.  While this is not a certification class you will learn what you need to know to save a life and become a link in the “Chain of Survival.” 

Steuben County EMS agencies and other community organizations are in the process of becoming facilitators for the Family & Friends class.  They will then be holding classes in their communities.  The EMS agencies that have joined 10,000 Links in the Chain of Survival are:

American Red Cross Greater Steuben Chapter

The American Red Cross, Greater Steuben Chapter offers opportunities throughout the year to learn CPR and become a Link in the Chain of Survival.

The classes are offered for a fee and do provide the student with a nationally recognized certification upon successful completion of the class.
